Scott E. Vincent, age 57, formerly of Lorain and recently of Louisville, KY, died on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at his home while under the care of hospice.

Scott worked for Ford Motor Company at the Lorain Assembly Plant for many years until he was transferred to the Louisville, Kentucky Plant. He retired from there in 2006 with 29 years of service.

While living in Lorain, he was a member of Tower Baptist Church.

He enjoyed listening to music, cooking, camping and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty Ann, (nee Kaliszewski) who he endearingly called “Tiny”; his son, Michael (Steph) Vincent, of Amherst, his daughter, Lisa Vincent, of Louisville, KY; his grandchildren, Makayla and Morgan Vincent, of Amherst and Madison and Hannah Tiller, of Louisville; his mother, Joann Fecik (nee Champion); his sister, Linda Layport, of Fort Myers, FL and a brother, Kenneth Layport Sr., of Lorain; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Scott E. Vincent, Jr. and his “dad”, Michael Paul Fecik.

The Vincent family will receive friends on Monday, June 20th from 4-8 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 21st at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Gary Dorsey of Tower Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
