Sandra Kay Cain, age 62, of Lorain, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at her residence.
Sandra was born on December 19, 1948 in Lorain, Ohio to Thomas Paul Widener and Emily Logan Schockley. She was a 1966 graduate of Avon High School.
She worked for Wells Street Community Mobile Park as a manager for four years from 2000 –2004, prior to that she worked as a nurse’s aide at several nursing homes for nine years from 1990 -1999.
Sandra enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and search-a-words, playing spider solitaire on the computer, baking and shopping. Sandra loved spending time with her family and spoiling her yorkie ”Bugga”.
Sandra is survived by her husband of ten years, Richard F. Cain Jr.; daughter; Wendy Kistner (Lisa Harris), of Berea; step-children, Christine (Tim) Winters, of Lorain, Jennifer(Scott) Cain-Sultzbaugh, of Lorain, Joseph (Luciana) Cain, Anthony (Kristie) Cain, of Elyria, Theresa (Paul Robinson), of Toledo and Amy (Jake) Morano, of Virginia; grandson, Zaine Kistner; 17 step-grandchildren; brother, Tom Widener, of Avon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Widener and Emily Logan and her grandson, Akari Kistner.
The Cain family will receive family and friends on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
