Kathleen Baughman, age 57, of Amherst, passed away, Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at her home.
Kathleen was born on August 23, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph A. and Mary T. (nee Hudak) Onofrey. She was a 1971 graduate of Lakewood High School.
She has been employed by Lowe’s, in Elyria for the past couple of years and prior to that Kathleen was employed by Abbe Road Lumber for 26 years working in all aspects of the business.
Kathleen was a member of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain. She enjoyed bird watching, photography, shopping and especially her Samoyed dogs, Sasha, Murphy and Allison.
She is survived by her companion, of 25 years, James Cooper, of Amherst ; daughter, Shelly Kovich, of Lorain; grandchildren, Allissa and Olivia Kovich; parents, Joseph A. and Mary T. Onofrey; sisters, Christine White, of San Diego, California, Joanne Jorgenson, of Eaton Twp. and Marian Brewer of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; her companions parents, Andrew and Jane Cooper.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Rev. Fr. Eric Orzech, Associate Pastor, will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
