Stella A. Jurczynski (nee Dudzic), age 100, of Lorain, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph.

She was born on December 5, 1911 in Zarzecze, Poland to the late Martin and Anna Dudzic. She came to America at the age of 18.

For 7 years, Stella worked as a seamstress for S. Weitz Clothing Factory from 1930-1937, where she assembled men's coats.

Proud of her heritage, she was a member of the United Polish Club Ladies Auxiliary, #84 Elizabeth Lodge, Stefan Czarnecki Society Branch 1430 and the Union of Poles. She was also a member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church.

Stella enjoyed gardening, cooking, and crocheting. She was also a very hard worker and enjoyed raking leaves, cleaning snow and sweeping.

She is survived by her sons, Robert (Rosi Wright), of Vermilion, Richard (Shirley Grasso), of Lorain, and Walter Jr.(Colleen Knight), of Lorain and her daughters, MaryAnn (Dale) Hoffman, of Huron, and Susan (Edmund) Dziubek, of Amherst; 25 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren; and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and 3 more Great-Great-Grandchildren expected soon.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter in 2001, and her sister, Helen Falencki in 2009; Granddaughter, Baby Ann Jurczynski, in 1964; Great-Grandson, Baby Ryan Mahaffey, in 1992; Great-Granddaughter, Baby Jordan Jurczynski, in 1998 and Great-Granddaughter, Baby Dana Jurczynski, in 2002.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Closing prayers will be said on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Funeral Center followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th St., Lorain. Rev. Fr. Robert Glepko, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
