Margaret M. Aquilino (nee Diederick), age 85, of Lorain, passed away, Friday, June 24, 2011 at EMH Regional Medical Center.
Margaret was born on April 21, 1926 in Elyria, Ohio to the late Randolph and Laura (nee Unger) Diederick. She was raised in Elyria and attended Elyria High School.
She was employed for 33 years by Gray Drug Stores and Rite Aid Drug as a manager.
Margaret was a member of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain, where she and her husband were married. She enjoyed reading, traveling and watching baseball. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Michael Aquilino; son, Michael Aquilino, of Sarasota, Florida; daughters, Marcia Aquilino, of Grafton and Maria Rigsby, of Amherst; grandchildren, Anita (Charles) Ritenaur, Edwin Guidicelli, Robert Guidicelli, Robert Rigsby II, Antonio (Crista nee Colvig)Rigsby and Amy Stoll; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Ravenna and Spencer Guidicelli, Michelle Ritenaur, Matthew, Nicholas and Karah Rigsby, Jacob and Haley Stoll; great-great-grandchildren, Jayson Igo and James Oldfield.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Jason Igo and her brother, Robert Diederick.
The Aquilino family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Closing prayers will be said on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Funeral Center followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Father Eric Orzech will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
