Michael David Echko, age 47, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012, at his home in Lakewood.
He was born on December 11, 1964 in Lorain, Ohio.
Mr. Echko proudly served in the United States Navy stationed in San Diego, California in the 1980's. He was a seaman of the USS Bagley and was deployed throughout the Western Pacific.
Michael was employed at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
He loved football and was an avid music fan.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Echko, of Lorain; sisters, Donna Furci, of Lorain and Shirley Poe, of Sheffield Lake; three nieces and two nephews.
The Echko family will receive family and friends on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
The family request that memorial donations be made in memory of Michael to the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
